04Dec Green Towers

I just love DesignBoom, they are forever turning me on to cool shit, like for instance Daniel Libeskind’s latest proposal for New York city. She’s defiantly a looker, all that glass, those cutaways, the high tree covered balcony’s and of course all the things that really get attention these days in high rise projects, it’s green. water collection, re-breathing, all that… but what stands out to me most, and what no one seems to mention is how beautifully it sits on it’s site. It rest parasitically on the building below, which to me is something to really talk about. Keeping the old, while building the new, that’s the way to do it.

02Dec Tilt Shift

I know, I know…old news…but I just love it, and the Web Urbanist has a really great collection posted, maybe some of the best I’ve ever seen. For those that don’t already think this is old and boring, Tilt-Shift refers to either a special camera lens, or a photoshop technique that makes regular sized things appear teeny tiny, you’ll see when you check out the gallery.

DesignBoom has an article up with some fantastic stop motion drops, drops of paint I guess.  Just some bit of “interesting pretty” for you to see.
