What would a Belltown Founder’s Day Festival be like? Would it be a kin to the Block Party? Or more vintage carnival/sideshow kinda thing with extra music? Would it be on Bell Street utilizing the newly created Bell Street Park Boulevard that just passed the city council vote, unanimously? Hm, these questions and many more will all need to be answered. Starting with, does Belltown want such a thing?

Gallery of Art.
I really can’t remember the last time I was so fascinated with an online gallery. It looks like it hasn’t been updated in three years, which is kinda sad. I could go on looking at pages of these, funny, strange, interesting and sometimes shockingly good little thrift store gems.
A quote from the front page of the site, “Bad art, while often quite bad, is much better than no art at all.” There are also a few other such galleries links in the pile of text at the bottom of the front page . >Link

Saving the Belltown Needle
Early Sunday morning Bedlam took the first steps towards getting the Belltown Needle installed in the proposed Bell Street Parks project.
We have already made contact with the original artist Andie DeRoux and she has expressed excitement at getting a look at it, and helping us to restore it. We are still in the very early stages of this, but have the idea to raise money to build a high pedestal for it to stand on at 2nd and Bell St.

Yep, that’s Bedlam
Here ya go, if you were looking for a reason to come visit Bedlam, in Belltown. Come for the coffee, tea, toast, and desserts, stay for the floor show. Tonights performance; three military types take turns taseing (tasering?) each other, and themselves, and passers by, and yes even their own balls. So come on down folks, have yr self some toast, enjoy some coffee, electrocute yr groin. Have Fun.

If Only I had the space…
Many really great shots of really big toys. The big bunnies make me a little nervous, but the mOnkies sure are cool.

Fonts are our prostitutes…
Well they kinda are anyway…Here’s an article at Design Boom about a bunch of designers asked to make “tart cards” for fonts as if they were prostitutes, the 400 examples will be featured in a gallery and Wallpaper Magazine, see some of them at the link .

Lego masterpieces
One of my favorite places on yhe web to visit frequently is Web Urbanist. The many collections of great stuff are always great. Many of the Web Urbanists post are groups of things, 10 greatest buildings, 7 things made from paper, etc… Today’s most interesting post is 25 Fabulous art pieces reproduced in Lego, everyone loves Lego right? It’s always amazing to me what ppl can do with them, all I ever mastered was space ships and race cars.
